Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman will be giving a free one-hour masterclass and Q&A session to PRS for Music members on ‘Creative Flow Songwriting & Finding Your Voice’ on Tuesday 14th September.
Beth has written numerous hits and songs for a wide selection of artists including, Emmylou Harris, Bette Midler, Elton John, Bonnie Raitt, Neil Diamond, Trisha Yearwood, Roberta Flack, Martina McBride, Michael McDonald, Olivia Newton-John, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and jazz legend Andy Bey.
Beth’s songs have topped the charts, featured on television and in movie soundtracks, including ER, Dawson's Creek, Providence, Felicity, The Prince of Egypt, Message In A Bottle, The Rookie, Where The Heart I and Practical Magic . She was nominated for a Grammy for her song The Kiss which was performed by Faith Hill.
In this seminar Beth will share with PRS for Music members a taste of her unique and inspiring style of teaching. For any writer in need of a boost of creative energy, this journey into the workings of the creative flow will cover some great tips and advice on how to step fully into your center and find your voice.
Beth has taught at schools such as the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama, the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and Berklee School of Music, as well as numerous festivals and venues internationally.
Beth will also be hosting a full-day song-writing masterclass at The Stables in Milton Keynes on 19th September.
