The appointments were made at the trade body’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held yesterday at Glaziers Hall in London.
One fifth of the existing board retired and members elected four new directors; Lesley Bleakley (Beggars Group), Sarah Bolshi (Sunday Best), Shirin Foroutan (Mute Group) and Michael McClatchey (Moshi Moshi).
Alison Wenham, AIM chairman, said: ‘AIM’s board now truly reflects the broad range of entrepreneurs, male and female, in the music industry.’
Andy Heath from UK Music gave a 'state of the music nation' address which was followed by Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore in conversation with Paul Stokes from Q magazine.
