Chart topping songwriter and Rudimental collaborator Becky Hill has signed a new deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing.
Becky Hill initially cut her musical teeth performing with the band Shaking Trees and received support from the likes of new talent platform BBC Introducing.
She then found herself in the national spotlight as a semi-finalist in the first series of TV talent show The Voice UK before featuring on Rudimental’s Mercury and Brits-nominated number one album Home.
Becky was a co-writer and performer on their track Powerless and went on to perform with the band during their 2013 festival appearances including Glastonbury and Bestival.
Guy Moot, Sony/ATV UK managing director and president, said: ‘We have admired Becky’s talent for some time as an artist and writer. We are thrilled we could make a deal and finally join Becky on this journey with her and her manager Alex.’
Commenting, Becky said: ‘I’m so happy to be a part of the Sony/ATV team. Their enthusiasm and confidence in me over the years could not be matched by anyone else. I’m glad to have a strong group of people behind me with a strong belief that I can progress and improve in the job I adore.’
She also co-wrote and was the featured vocalist on Wilkinson’s 2013 UK top 10 hit Afterglow.
Future plans include more solo material and a headline tour.
