BBC Sound of 2018 has whittled down its 16 shortlisted acts to reveal the top five.
Norwegian pop sensation Sigrid takes the top spot, followed by bittersweet alt-pop artist Rex Orange County (pictured), urban jazz act IAMDDB, R&B star Khalid and synth pop Manchester quartet Pale Waves.
The list was started in 2003 and has a history of predicting the acts that will make it big.
Now celebrating its 16th anniversary, this year's longlist was selected by a panel of 173 music experts, including former nominees Stormzy, Ellie Goulding, Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander and last year’s winner, Ray BLK.
Speaking about her win, Sigrid told the BBC: 'It's a huge honour. I don't know how to explain it.'
BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac called her 'literally the perfect pop star' and 'an absolute pleasure to play on the radio.'
