BBC Radio 1 reveals most-played content

Skrillex’s Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1, which included tracks from UK producers Blawan and Disclosure, has become the most played piece of content in the radio’s 46 year history.

The mix also included tracks by Jeremih, Boys Noize, AC Slater and more, and was first broadcast on 15 June. It is no longer available to stream via the radio station’s website but the full tracklist has been published here.

Mixmag reported that the US electronic artist’s record label tweeted the news, adding that it was the 'single most played piece of content in BBC Radio 1 history across all media'.

Last month Surrey duo Disclosure (above) went straight to number one in the UK album charts with their debut Settle.
