Dancehall star Stylo G and UK hip-hop talent Little Simz are among the artists taking part in the UK’s Bass Culture Clash 2014.
The series aims to showcase the best new ‘bass’ artists from both Brazil and the UK via two live events, with the first kicking off at the Roundhouse in Camden on Saturday 3 May. A second live session will take place at the Great Escape conference in Brighton on 8 May.
The London showcase will also host a series of workshops aimed at helping emerging artists gain advice for developing a music industry career.
Saturday 3 May will see a DJ clash, demo surgery and Bass Is the Place panel session exploring the challenges and opportunities for artists looking to make it in the music business.
Bass Culture Clash is a touring exchange project highlighting the worldwide influence and significance of reggae and the new bass
music sounds it inspires and connects including dancehall, hip hop and dub.
