BASCA’s Media Executive Committee is hosting a ‘Question Time’ style debate to discuss current challenges and opportunities facing media composers.
Taking place at the Seven Dials Club in Soho, London, on 7 March, the event will see a panel of media composers answer questions from the audience and provide their insight and advice surrounding industry concerns.
According to BASCA, possible topics for debate and discussion include:
• Library music
• Commissioning
• Publishing/rights acquisition
• BBC Charter Renewal 2016
• Technology
• Recording with live musicians in the UK and abroad
• Higher education courses for media composition
• Agents/representation
• The MEC and its role within BASCA
