The British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) is hosting a hands-on seminar offering insight into contractual negotiations within the music industry.
The event, entitled Deal or No Deal?, focuses on copyright, royalties, contracts and negotiations, helping songwriters and composers recognise where potential issues may arise.
Alongside seminars from legal professionals, it also includes a workshop where participants must read through a draft contract and practice negotiating with a lawyer who is acting as a label or publisher.
The session takes place on 18 June at the University of London.
