The British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) is hosting a seminar to explore funding options for composers.

The event, which takes place at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, will gather representatives from BASCA, PRS for Music Foundation, Arts Council England and Help Musicians UK.

It will advise attendees on the different funding opportunities available and how to increase their chances of having their applications approved.

Issie Barratt, renowned composer and BASCA board member, will be on hand to review applications and offer tips, while PRS for Music Foundation’s Naomi Belshaw will run through all the schemes currently offered by her organisations and how best to apply.

The session takes place on 20 October 2016 and is free to attend for BASCA members and students of the college.

PRS for Music members, and those of affiliate organisation’s such as the Music Publishers Association, Music Managers Forum, Musicians’ Union and AIM, will be charged £3.
