Arts and Business (A&B) are now accepting nominations from UK arts bodies for the 6th Prince of Wales Medal for Arts Philanthropy.

The award is aimed at recognising the contribution of individuals who’ve made a difference to creatives such as songwriters and composers through their generosity.

According to the organisation, the 2013 medal will be awarded in recognition of donations made either over a period of time or before August 2013.

Nominations are free and each arts oraganisation may nominate up to 3 individuals or couples. The winners will be honoured at a ceremony in December.

In a statement, A&B said:The true beneficiaries of these medals will be the generations to come who will be able to enjoy artistic ambition in a thriving creative environment.

‘The Prince of Wales Medal for Arts Philanthropy helps us to acknowledge and celebrate these Patrons of the Arts who are enabling this to happen.’

Previous recipients of the medal include Sir Peter Moores who made a donation to both opera and visual arts.

You can download the nominations form from the A&B website.
