Pinact, New Portals and WOMPS are among the acts announced for XpoNorth, the annual music convention serving central Scotland, plus the Highlands and Islands.

The two-day conference and showcase, formally called goNorth, will also feature scores of local acts including Edinburgh's EMILIE, Dundee’s Fat Goth and singer songwriter Roseanne Reid from the Highlands.

ExpoNorth takes place on 7 and 8 June across various venues in Inverness, and includes workshops, panels, masterclasses and networking opportunities for delegates across the creative industries. It has many strands, including Music, Writing and Publishing, Fashion, Design and Screen.

XpoNorth Music is managed by former goNorth music producer, Alex Smith, with Ironworks Group directors and Caroline Campbell.

It was established as the New Music Industry Network for the Highlands and Islands to support the development of musicians and music businesses across the region.
