Arthur Brown, the 'god of hellfire' best known for sixties hit Fire, has unveiled The Unknown, his first new material for nearly a decade.

Taken from forthcoming album Zim Zam Zim, the release arrives after a 40 year music career from the 72 year old.

Zim Zam Zim will be released on 28 July and is a collaboration with producers Sam Walker and Jim Mortimore. This latest collection of songs follows a number of tours across the UK and Europe from Arthur and his current band.

Arthur’s career includes his huge sixties hit Fire in the late sixties and heavy involvement in 60's London at UFO club. He was also a close friend of Jimi Hendrix and featured in The Who's Tommy.
