Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards announce winners

Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith were among the winners at the Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards.

The PRS for Music sponsored event took place at London’s Roundhouse last night (8 July) and celebrated the great and the good from the broadcasting industry.

The full list of winners, as reported by Radio Today, included Ed Sheeran as the most played artist on commercial radio while Sam Smith was the breakthrough act of the year.

Jazz FM’s Richard Wheatley posthumously received the lifetime achievement award.
