The Derbyshire festival has opened up applications to secure a slot on the One Big Showcase stage at next year’s event.
The Academy of Music and Sound are once again hosting the stage at the four-day music festival and are now looking for acts to perform to give unsigned and emerging acts some exposure on the festival circuit.
The festival takes place at Catton Hall Derbyshire from 21 to 24 May and 2020 marks the third year the Academy of Music and Sound has been at the festival.
They are offering artists a showcase slot on the One Big Showcase Stage, free entry for the act, band and crew, plus substantially discounted tickets for guests.
Successful applicants will also benefit from a full light and sound crew, backline amps and drum kit, a manned merch area, stage technicians, space to prepare and free use of professional photos of your performance.
The Academy will also be looking out for four acts from the showcase to play larger stages at the 2021 edition of the festival.
To be eligible to apply you must be over 18 – unless you have written permission from a parent or guardian confirming you are able to make your way to and from the festival – and acts can’t have played the showcase before.
The deadline for applications is 31 December 2019 and judges will contact successful applicants via email to invite them to perform.
