OPUS2016 is inviting composers to submit a new score and win a commission as part of the Britten Sinfonia’s At Lunch series.

The scheme will give ten shortlisted, unpublished composers the chance to develop their chamber writing skills under guidance from composer Julian Phillips and Britten Sinfonia musicians.

The winning composer will receive a dedicated rehearsal for their commissioned piece six to eight weeks in advance of the concert, plus three performances of their work at London’s Wigmore Hall, West Road Concert Hall in Cambridge and St Andrew's Hall in Norwich. A commission fee will also be provided

To enter, composers need to supply scores of two pieces, a recording of at least one of these scores, plus a completed OPUS2016 application form.

Visit the OPUS16 website for more information and details of how to apply.

The competition is free to enter with submissions required by Monday 19 October.
