Applications are now open for instrumentalists and composers to join the National Youth Orchestra (NYO) of Great Britain in 2017.
Submissions are now open for classical composers and performers under the age of 18 until 1 June.
Auditions are free, and take place in Edinburgh, Belfast, Cardiff, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and London, with travel bursaries available. NYO Tutors share playing tips in a workshop,and all applicants receive performance feedback.
While there are costs involved, the NYO bursary scheme will also help support composers and artists. The orchestra is renowned in the classical music world for its standard of tutoring and performance opportunities.
