Sheffield’s Sensoria festival is offering all PRS for Music members discounted tickets to attend its SensoriaPro Industry Day.

Taking place on Friday 27 September 2013 at the Electric Works in Sheffield, the industry day is a unique gathering of composers, filmmakers, music publishers, music supervisors, record labels and festival promoters. These professionals get together  to discuss the latest innovations in music and the moving image.

Sessions this year include an illustrated talk by world renowned field recordist Chris Watson and a scoring contest and sync panel with guests including Ian Neil (Sony), Heather Kreamer (Create Advertising), Gary Downing (Music Sales Group) and Michelle Stoddart (Kobalt).

The day will feature  a session on publishing, led by the Music Publishers Association and various representatives from record labels including  Verity Griffiths (Ministry of Sound), Korda Marshall (Infectious Music), Merida Sussex (Stolen Recordings) and Sarah Liversedge (Bdi Music).

Delegates will also have the chance to score music for the new Elysium trailer and to have submissions critiqued on the day by a panel of industry experts and music supervisors. Create Advertising have supplied the trailer (a challenging 30s TV spot with dialogue and sound effects but without music).

PRS for Music members can purchase discount tickets at £72. Click here to buy.

Find out more about the programme from the SensoriaPro website.

Sensoria runs at various venues across Sheffield from 26-29 September and will feature a series of events, performances and screenings devoted to celebrating film and music.
