The Inverness-based creative industries festival has opened applications for the 2019 edition of the event, and musicians can now enter for a chance to secure a showcase spot.
XpoNorth takes place between 3 and 4 July and all elements of the festival are free, including delegate registration and music submissions.
The deadline for music submissions is Monday 8 April 2019, after which all applications will be forwarded to a panel of industry professionals who will compile a list of acts invited to showcase at the event.
A selection of musicians will also be considered for performances on the XpoNorth stage at the multi-award winning Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, which takes place 1 to 3 August 2019.
XpoNorth takes place annually and allows delegates access to a wide creative programme that also covers craft, fashion and textiles; writing and publishing; screen and broadcast; digital and technology, as well as music.
The event includes seminars and workshops featuring local, national and international professionals from across the creative sector during the day and by night opens their new music showcase across city centre venues.
Iain Hamilton, head of creative industries, Highlands and Islands Enterprise commented: ‘Each year XpoNorth develops in scope and range and remains an important destination to showcase the most exciting new creative talent. We’re working hard to ensure that we continue to introduce innovative new elements to the festival, produce engaging and relevant content, attract the highest level of participants and generate an environment where creatives can meet, exchange ideas and grow their networks.’
