The Department for International Trade (DIT), in partnership with AIM (Association of Independent Music) and the BPI (British Phonographic Industry) has opened applications for its latest music mission to India, which will take place in Mumbai from 22 to 26 August.

The mission will allow music businesses to explore commercial opportunities in the world’s seventh-largest economy. India’s music industry is rapidly growing, as the country sees an increasing appetite for international music and strengthens its connections with the international music business.

The 2022 mission aims to act as a catalyst for collaboration, exploration and expansion of the British music industry in India. It will include a programme of education, networking, B2B meetings, conferences, showcases, music company site visits and related activities. All delegates will attend leading Indian music industry event All About Music.

Delegate applications are being invited from a range of industry roles, including artists, managers, promoters, record labels, music publishers, digital distribution companies, festival bookers/directors/organisers and promoters. Representatives from all genres of music are invited to participate, and organisers will be tailoring certain aspects of the program to suit all delegates.

Mission registration is £100, and applications close on July 8 2022. Funding may be available through the Department of International Trade. Interested parties should contact Phil Patterson for details. The application form is available to download.
