POWER UP, the long-term initiative addressing racial disparities in the music sector, has opened applications for its third year.
Co-founded by PRS Foundation and Ben Wynter, the initiative supports Black music creators, industry professionals and executives. It seeks to build a more equitable music industry and accelerate change through the POWER UP Participant Programme and the POWER UP Movement. Previous participating artists include Nova Twins, Bemz, TAAHLIAH and Speech Debelle.
The POWER UP Participant Programme offers grants of up to £15,000, mentoring, access to POWER UP partners and marketing support. Each yearly cohort consists of 20 music creators and 20 industry professionals, who go on to join the POWER UP network.
Entries for the 2023 programme close at 6pm on 20th February. To learn more and apply, click here.
