Alt-J and Jake Bugg were among the British songwriters and artists to feature on a ‘mixtape’ given to world leaders by prime minister David Cameron.

Alt-J and Jake Bugg were among the British songwriters and artists to feature on a ‘mixtape’ given to world leaders by prime minister David Cameron.

The British leader gave the 10 song playlist to the likes of Barack Obama and Angela Murkle at the recent G8 Summit in Northern Ireland.

Tom Odell, Rudimental and recent M Magazine cover star Laura Mvula all featured on the list, which was given to state leaders on a USB stick.

According to the Guardian, the collection was put together by the BPI who described the list as a "a bespoke creation for the leaders" that was not "available for reproduction".

The tracklisting for the playlist was revealed following a request made via the Freedom of Information Act.
