The trio were named the best newcomers at a ceremony in Liverpool on Saturday, but as they are currently on tour with The Vaccines, Stealing Sheep’s Becky Hawley picked up the gong on their behalf.

The band were selected from a shortlist of 12 which included Circa Waves, Hooton Tennis Club, LåpsleyThe Sundowners and Jane Weaver.

The achievement topped off what has been a great start to 2015 for All We Are, having released their critically acclaimed debut album and touring Europe.

As well as the main prize, and the previously announced One To Watch award, which went to Louis Berry, a new Inspiration Award was presented posthumously to Deltasonic founder Alan Wills, who died in a traffic accident last year.

Dave McCabe and Ian Skelly performed a rendition of The Zutons’ Why Won’t You Give Me Your Love? in tribute, and James Skelly and Bill Ryder Jones reunited to play The Coral’s Shadows Fall.
