The organisation’s new Lightning Live system, which has been ‘road tested’ over the last six months, collects sales at live venues for inclusion into the weekly album charts.
Its launch follows approaches from both independent and major labels, who are increasingly using live events as a route to get their products to fans and new audiences, the company said.
