The British rapper will join The Association of Independent Music (AIM)’s flagship conference, AIM Connected, to discuss his career as an independent artist.
He will be joined by his manager Andy Musgrave for the keynote on 4 February at Kings Place, London.
As an independent artist AJ Tracey released one of the biggest independent albums of 2019.
His self-titled debut charted at number 3 and produced two platinum singles, and he sold out two nights at Alexandra Palace.
Tracey and Musgrave will reveal how they achieved commercial success without the support of traditional channels.
Over a full day of programming, Aim Connected will cover themes of business, tech and people via its new Strong Opinions format in addition to case studies on independent success stories, interactive workshops and speed networking sessions.
Speakers for the event include representatives from Bandcamp, Deezer, Amazon Music, Young Turks, Anjunabeats, PPL, PRS for Music, AWAL, FUGA and Proper Music.
AIM’s CEO Paul Pacifico said: ‘AJ and Andy’s achievements speak for themselves. With a strong independent spirit and keen business savviness, they are a brilliant example of the ongoing success of UK independent music. We’re delighted to have them addressing our audience of innovative small-businesses and entrepreneurs at AIM Connected this year.’
