The Association of Independent Music (AIM) has announced news and details of the return of AIM Sync, the UK’s leading global sync conference and marketplace.

Bringing in-house sync experts and music entrepreneurs together with international music supervisors in films, gaming, TV, advertising, brands and beyond, the one-day online event is scheduled for 10 February 2022.

As well as sharing insights on the current sync and brand partnership landscape, AIM Sync will also be offering masterclasses, listening sessions and networking sessions. The AIM Sync Awards will also be returning, celebrating the use of independent music in the sync landscape – last year’s winners were Carbon Logic for ‘Music Supervisor of the Year’ and Ninja Tune for ‘Independent Sync of the Year’ for their work with Roots Manuva and IKEA.

Gee Davy, chief operating officer, AIM, said: ‘Sync makes up a valuable part of the revenue mix in music. It can be instrumental in driving returns on investment in music and provide game-changing income for new artists and businesses. This event sees key players from across the global world of sync come together to share knowledge, build relationships and do deals. The expansion into brand partnerships in recent years has added a further area to the event that reflects the growing commercial opportunity for independent music in that space. AIM Sync holds a unique place in the calendar for the UK independent music sector and is a fantastic event to expand your networks, knowledge and sync opportunities.’

Tickets are now available, with subsidised tickets for AIM members (rightsholders, distributors and friends of AIM) also available.

Discounts are available for members of UK music trade organisations and friends of the event.
