The Association of Independent Music’s Independent Music Awards will return to London in September 2014.

According to organisers, the annual celebration of independent talent will take place at the Brewery on 2 September.

John Kennedy (XFM) and Alice Levine (Radio 1) will present the event on the night while the winners will be chosen by a judging panel featuring numerous music industry experts including Steve Lamacq and Mixmag’s Ralph Moore.

Alison Wenham, chairman of AIM, said: After the success of so many independent artists in 2013, we are looking forward to another year when the independents triumph.

‘The AIM Awards is the only music show to give British artists a stage uncluttered by American acts, and to shine a spotlight on the truly brilliant British independent record industry.’

Last years winners included Enter Shikari, The xx, Billy Bragg and Daughter, who picked up the coveted Independent Album of The Year award for her debut on 4AD.

Tickets are on sale now for the event from www.musicindie.com/awards.
