Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Dave, Jane Weaver and Stormzy are among the artists nominated in this year's Association of Independent Music (AIM) Awards, leading the way with three nominations each.

Jlin, Little Simz, Sampha and Sacred Paws join the list of shortlisted acts, also receiving multiple nominations with two each.

Taking place on 5 September at London's The Brewery, the annual event champions the great and the good from the independent music industry.

The full list of nominations was revealed at last night's (8 August) launch event at House of Vans, which took in a live performance from London rap crew 67, who are nominated for Independent Breakthrough of the Year.

Now in its seventh year, the judging panel at this year's event includes Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio 6 Music), Alison Howe (Later...with Jools Holland) and Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1).
