The Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) has announced details of Festival Futures - two one-day conference events in Brighton and Manchester.
Taking place at BIMM Brighton on 5 April and BIMM Manchester on 7 April, the events will feature key industry figures and promoters exploring many of the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
Speakers lined up for the events include Wilderness and Eden Sessions promoter John Empson, Kendal Calling director Ben Robinson, Just So Festival's Saah Bird, Sabotage Media’s Sammy Andrews and Music Venue Trust founder Mark Davyd.
According to organisers, the events will ‘feature festival promoter keynotes, quick fire Talking Heads sessions and fireside chats with industry experts, alongside networking opportunities’.
Discussion topics will include the importance of multi-arts and family content, the festival food revolution, connections between streaming and ticketing, the impact of virtual reality and other new tech, event safety, the importance of grassroots venues and the connection with festivals, festival finances and drugs awareness.
Tickets are £50 for AIF members and friends, plus £100 general admission.
