It will compete alongside Norah Jones’ Everybody Needs a Best Friend (from the film Ted), J Ralph’sBefore My Time (Chasing Ice) and Mychael Danna’s Pi’s Lullaby (Life of Pi).
The 75-strong long-list originally featured the likes of Karen O, Rick Ross, The Black Keys, John Legend and Mumford & Sons, none of whom made the final shortlist.
The Academy Awards ceremony takes place on 24 February.
