2010 Mobo awards winners

Congratulations to Tinie Tempah, N-Dubz, JLS, Professor Green and Plan B who were all winners at the 15th Mobo awards that took place last night (October 20) at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

Congratulations to Tinie Tempah, N-Dubz, JLS, Professor Green and Plan B who were all winners at the 15th Mobo awards that took place last night (October 20) at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

Tinie took the best newcomer prize after dominating the charts with his songs Pass Out and Frisky featuring Labrinth, winning best video for the latter song. N-Dubz won in the best song category for Playing with Fire, while JLS were awarded the best UK act and best album prizes.

Professor Green was crowned best best UK hip hop/grime artist, whilst rapper/singer Plan B was honoured with the best UK R&B/Soul Act award following the massive success of his number one album The Defamation of Strickland Banks. US rap legend Eminem won in the best international artist category.

K’Naan scooped the best best African act gong, and best jazz act was won by Empirical. Legendary soul singer Billy Ocean was given the lifetime achievement honour.

Performers on the star-studded evening included Tinchy Stryder, Tinie Tempah, Alesha Dixon, Professor Green and Nelly.
