They are joined by Best Boy Grip, Fifi Rong, Ghost Riders in the Sky, In Hindsight, Teddy and The Changing Room, who will each receive support to launch their own PledgeMusic campaign and gain access to an exclusive top-up grant if they reach their funding targets.

More than 100 artists entered the process and the selection panel included BBC Radio 6 Music’s Tom Robinson, award-winning producer and Music Producers Guild Chairman Steve Levine, Kwame Kwaten (KKMC Management), Sean Adams (Drowned In Sound), Polydor A&R Tor Ree and singer-songwriter Shelly Poole.

The scheme was launched in May and will run for 12 months. It aims to support at least 24 acts over the next year, with £50,000 total funding available.

It covers all music genres and is charged with helping emerging artists who aren’t currently receiving significant financial backing from third party sources, but who are clearly at - or nearing - a career tipping point.

The next application rounds are 1-31 August and 1-30 November 2015.

Artists can apply via the PledgeMusic website pledgemusic.com/emerging_artists with full guidelines available at helpmusicians.org.uk/emergingartistsfund.
