‘We’ve literally gone from our bedroom, making music, to the Grammys in 11 months. It’s absolutely nuts,’ says Goodboys’ Joshua Grimmett, aka Josh Good, of their Best Dance Recording nomination.
Despite their surprise, the production duo will be heading to Los Angeles for the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, which takes place on 27 January at the Staples Center.
On the night they will be in contention with some of the biggest names in dance music including Bonobo, The Chemical Brothers, Skrillex and Rüfüs Du Sol.
Josh and Ethan Shore only formed Goodboys in 2018, but have subsequently taken the dance world by storm, clocking up over one billion streams for their, now Grammy nominated, song Piece of Your Heart, a collaboration with Italian production trio Meduza.
Ahead of the ceremony, we caught up with Josh and Ethan to get their reaction to the nomination, their thoughts on their fellow nominees and whether they ever imagined the track would have so much success.
