Rising British folk-pop artist Mabes made an unforgettable entrance with her 2019 album Wait & See, which was followed by her recently released Keeping The Noise Down EP.

Last week (10 July), Mabes released her beautifully intimate new single Too Young To Love, solidifying her as artist with an irrefutable aptitude for penning sincere and heartfelt tracks. The song is made up of her signature acoustic and slide guitar, real piano and layered harmonies and has seen her amassing over 40 million views on TikTok.

Following the release of the stunning Too Young To Love, which you can listen to below, we asked Mabes to make us a playlist for the weekend. Tune in.

Dolly Parton – Jolene

This song is so haunting, so heart felt, so brave and SO iconic.

Norah Jones – Don’t Know Why

This is really simple, yet stunningly beautiful, and will always chill me out.

John Mayer – Still Feel Like Your Man

That lyrical/melodic juxtaposition though...

Laura Marling – Failure

I'm forever in awe of her effortless vocals and cryptic phrasing.

Keane – Somewhere Only We Know

This Keane song always makes me want to smile and cry at the same time, how do songs do that?

Kacey Musgraves - Butterflies

Butterflies is my kind of love sawng, with silky vocals sung by a country queen.

Two Door Cinema Club – Something Good Can Work

The crème de la crème of the indie banger!

Foals - Providence

What a song - an artistic musical arrangement of adrenaline.

Tame Impala – Borderline

Kev showing off his psychedelic genius. Such a tune.

Maroon 5 – Memories

A pop masterpiece with all the feels. I'll never tire of this one.
