Born in the UK but raised in Canada, just across the river from Detroit, Richie has built himself a career as a restless innovator, a music maker who has always one eye on the horizon, constantly looking to the future for the next trend or piece of technology to propel his creations forward.
From Ibiza residencies and multimedia installations to his pioneering work as Plastikman, Richie is as skilled at tearing up a dancefloor as he is weaving sparse electronic patterns in a museum exhibition. His latest work in the Plastikman guise – Ex – was inspired by a performance at the Guggenheim in New York.
