Former Coral guitarist, now turned solo singer songwriter Bill Ryder Jones is blossoming into real brilliance on latest LP West Kirby Country Primary.
The record, his third solo effort proper since departing from his former group, like 2013’s predecessor A Bad Wind Blows In My Heart, was written and recorded mainly at his childhood home. Both records have echoes of memories, of people and places but this latest LP shows a renewed focus, more plugged in sound.
