Tariff Simplification: Creating simple and efficient licensing

PRS for Music ran a consultation on the charging structure used to license the use of copyright music within workplaces.

The scope of the proposed Tariff covered the use of music within workplaces premises, including: workstations; staff-only canteens, restrooms and stand down areas; reception areas; meeting and board rooms; and on-site gyms and bars owned and run by the same company.

The aim is to create a revised tariff that is easy to understand, simple and efficient for customers to use, whilst fairly reflecting the value of music.
