Performing Right Society Limited (PRS) Members' Council ballot
The Members’ Council plays a vital role in ensuring we stay connected to what really matters to members. The ballot is your opportunity to elect who you would like to represent you and the wider membership.
The results of the ballot will be announced here on Tuesday 13 May and formally announced at the AGM on Tuesday 3 June 2025.
This year marks the launch of Voting Plus, a new category that gives eligible writer members five votes in the Members’ Council ballot. You can confirm your voting category via your online account.
Eligible members can cast their votes until 5pm (BST) on Tuesday 6 May.

Ballot details
As there are more candidates than vacancies this year, we are holding a ballot where you can vote for the candidate(s) you wish to represent the membership on the Members’ Council.
In the ballot:
- Only writer members and successors to writer members can vote for up to three writer candidates.
- Only publisher members and successors to publisher members can vote for up to four publisher candidates.
Voting members – each candidate you select will receive one vote
Voting plus members (our new voting category for writers only) - each candidate you select will receive five votes
Principal Voting members – each candidate you select will receive ten votes, and if you qualify for additional voting rights, each candidate will receive a further ten votes

The statutory Notice of the AGM, proxy form and other papers relating to the meeting will be sent out at least 14 days before the AGM.
