The NUSIC Academy Workshop and Advice Fair is to provide top tips for new and emerging songwriters on taking the next step in their careers.

Presented in association with the PRS for Music Foundation and taking place on 29 November at Antenna in Nottingham, the Funding Your Music event is free and aimed at offering advice for artists on getting ahead.

Confirmed speakers include Joe Frankland from the Foundation, Ellie Moore from Help Musicians UK, artist Ronika and music entrepreneur Darren Blair.

All four participants will lead a discussion on how to get grants, raise money, make savings, tour and produce a video all on a tight budget.

Alongside this, before and after, the NUSIC advice fair will see a number of organisations providing information on ways into the music industry.

They include Acoustic Rooms, Arts Council, BBC Introducing, Kemet FM, The Maze and Young Creative Awards.
