About the artists

Fatherson

Fatherson are a three-piece Scottish band based in Glasgow and formed in Kilmarnock. They have been making waves in the British music scene following a string of support slots with bands such as Frightened Rabbit, Twin Atlantic, Enter Shikari and Feeder.

After the release of debut album I Am an Island the band were championed by respected DJ’s such as Greg James, Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens and Ally McCrae. Following a headline tour of the UK in February 2016, Fatherson released their second album Open Book in June this year to critical acclaim.

Holy Esque

Holy Esque’s music is comprised of tones and textures. Peaks and troughs. Brush strokes and breaking waves of sound. Here chiming guitars interweave with emotive synth embellishments, and all shot through with Pat Hynes’ inimitable vocals, delivered from a dark place somewhere deep within his very centre. His is a voice that shifts from breathless, searching soul to an impassioned roar strong enough to topple buildings.

Some reviewers have likened his tremulous waver to Fergal Sharkey, others with that of Ellery Roberts of late Manchester band Wu Lyf, with whom Holy Esque have toured, but make no mistake Hynes’ voice is an entirely unique entity, an extra instrument. A force of nature.

Be Charlotte

Be Charlotte looks over the top of colourful glasses

Be Charlotte is all about the damn good vibes. She is one of the most innovative artists in Britain. Her songwriting prowess is beyond her 18 years and has taken her on several transatlantic journeys from her hometown of Dundee, Scotland.

Her singing voice is flawless. She also raps and beatboxes and has helped to invent her own unique musical instruments. Be Charlotte is an artist always willing to break the rules and pave her own way in the music industry.
