Online royalties
PRS for Music and ICE (International Copyright Enterprise) collect licence fees through their respective licensing agreements with digital service providers that provide streaming, downloading and ringtone services. This income is then shared among the members whose music has been used.
PRS for Music and ICE have licensing agreements with a range of digital service providers, such as Netflix, YouTube, Spotify, Deezer, GooglePlay, Apple Music, Soundcloud, Tidal, iTunes and Amazon.
How we calculate
Digital use of music generates performance royalties and mechanical royalties. Therefore, they are distributed by both PRS and MCPS, as detailed in the table below.
