Entries were submitted from gospel, school and church choirs and choral societies from around the country and rated by a panel of music industry judges.
Darren Haynes, PRS for Music’s Marketing Manager said: “The standard of all the choirs was absolutely incredible but the judge’s decision for Andrew Daldorph’s modern oratorio was unanimous.”
Andrew Daldorph, Conductor of the Exeter Chamber Choir and composer of the piece entitled ’Songs of Hope and Creation’ said: “At the end of the performance in Exeter Cathedral there was a standing ovation, and throughout there was a fantastic atmosphere. It was an unforgettable performance. It’s great to be recognised by PRS for Music.”
